Our Nursing Team are currently working very hard to ensure all patients with a cervix attend for their cervical screening appointments, including those patients who may be new to the country, may have anxiety around the process and those patients who may have not attended for many years. For further advice and support, please do not hesitate to book in with our Nursing team for a discussion. Please also see below some further information and guidance:
IMPORTANT HEALTH INFORMATION FOR WOMEN
NHS cervical screening helps prevent cervical cancer. It saves thousands of lives from cervical cancer each year in the UK.
Cervical screening is for women and people with a cervix. We offer screening every 3 years from age 25 to 49 and every 5 years from age 50 to 64.
It is quick and painless and helps prevent cervical cancer.
Please contact your GP surgery to make an appointment with the nurse. Language translation services are available. If you have any questions, you can make an appointment just to discuss about any worries you might have about the test.
If you prefer evening or weekend appointments, you could book an appointment with the GP alliance instead on 01942 482848.
